In the year 3000 on a planet called Earth. The dominate species, Humans, have reduced the once enormous amount of plant life to near extinction; and as a result, most animals as well. Everything has been done just to fuel their desire for money.

Only one forest remains on the entire planet. Here, all the remaining animals (and a few helpful humans) have gathered, regardless of species, so they can unify and fight against the impending destruction of their home. These are just your ordinary, everyday animals; but they have a plan…

The forest was abuzz with activity. The various birds were whizzing around as fast as they were capable to deliver a message. The moment anyone heard the message, they immediately ran off to the encampment of the humans that had allied themselves with the animals.

Once they all gathered, there were no less than 500 species of animal, many of which would normally eat each other and most of which would never have even met if it wasn't for the human invasion; all crowded around the hut, eagerly awaiting what their human allies had to say.

A black-haired man who appeared to be in his mid forties stepped out from the hut, lugging a fair sized machine in his arms. This machine, which was nothing more than an extremely complex 2-way radio that allowed animals and humans to communicate, was placed on a low tree stump situated directly in front.

Turning the machine on, he began to speak. "Thank you for coming so quickly."

"How could we not Jeff? You said you had a way to finally stop the evil humans!" a meerkat jumped in.

"That's right, but I require your help. Believe it or not, I only need three of you."

All the animals started eagerly speaking at once. Saying things like 'Pick me!' and 'I'll help!"

He laughed. "Thank you everyone, but I already know who I need for this task. When I call your name, I want you to come up here." He grabbed the pad of paper he had sitting on the machine. "Will"

A greywolf quietly walked past the crowd and sat near Jeff.

"Tolbin"

A lions roar echoed throughout the forest as a large golden male stood up. All the animals blocking him quickly moved out of the way. Even now, the lion was still king.

"Last, I need Roxanne." There was nothing but silence. No one moved. "Has any one seen Roxanne?"

"I love messing with you," a voice was heard from behind the hut. "Incoming!" A redfox lept off of the roof, vaulted off of Jeff's head, and landed a few feet away, next to the wolf.

"Now…" Jeff's voice trailed off as he walked back into the hut; stepping out a few moments later with a silver briefcase. "I'll give you these." He opened the case and set it on the ground. "Your Anthro Morphers."

"These are going to let us fight the humans? You're joking," Will said in disbelief.

"With these, you will gain great powers that will enable you to defend this forest." He took one out of the case and, using a strap, tied it to Will's back. "You will the the Black Wolf Ranger." Tying on Tolbin's he said, "You are the Gold Lion Ranger."

Roxanne cocked her head to the side. "Like the forest rangers you told us about? Humans that were actually trying to help us?"

"Something like that. Roxanne, you are going to be the Red Fox Ranger, and the leader of the team."

"Why is she in charge!?" Tolbin roared.

"Roxanne is the best at planning and coming up with ideas. Brute force a leader does not make."

"Grrr…fine!"

"To use the morphers, just call out your color and animal. When used you will become the Power Rangers Anthro; the only ones capable of defending this place from the humans and their machines. There is a problem though; the morphers have limited amounts of power. They recharge on their own but if you stay morphed for an extended period of time you'll end up powerless until they recharge. Only use them when we are under attack." Jeff explained. "They also act as translators. As long as you have them, we can understand each other."

Suddenly a loud, screeching female voice was heard in the distance. "Jeff! Get out here now! I know you're in there you little punk!"

"Looks like you'll get the chance to test them out shortly, let's go Rangers."

The group all walked towards the edge of the forest, where they found an army of steel waiting for them, mechanical lumberjacks. Human sized and plain silver in color, they all wielded large axes perfect for cutting down trees. Behind them was a small dome hovering around twenty feet in the air. Two humans could be seen looking out of the window.

"Jeff! I'm going to give you one more chance to give up your foolishness and join us," the male yelled

"Who are they?" Roxanne questioned.

"Rita and Ed. They are the ones in charge of cutting this place down," Jeff answered. "Rita! Ed!" he shouted. "I've made my choice and I'm going to help defend this place from people like you that want to destroy everything!"

"Lumberjacks, you heard him! Go tear that forest to the ground! Haaaahahahaha!" Rita cackled like an evil witch.

"Let's morph guys," Roxanne said to Tolbin and Will. "Its Anthro time!"

"Gold Lion!"

"Black Wolf!"

"Red Fox!"

All three of them were engulfed in a light of their color, which grew into a human shape, then exploded, revealing three anthropomorphic animals standing where normal animals had just been. They were each dressed in a bodysuit of their color and had weapons on their belts. Roxanne with twin shortswords, Will with a katana, and Tolbin had spiked gauntlets on his hands.

"Alright guys," Roxanne said, drawing her swords. "Lets see what we can do!"

The trio successfully destroyed all of the lumberjacks with their new powers; leaving only slag behind.

"Ohhhhhh! Those explosions, are giving me a headache!" Rita complained.

"Stay out of our forest!" Roxanne demanded, pointing a sword at the dome.

"You can't win you know," Jeff said, pointing at the Rangers. "They are Anthro Power Rangers, guardians of the forest."

"Well see about that Jeff! Well be back to deal with the power punks later!" Ed gloated.

The group watched the dome fly off. The Rangers reverted back to their normal, animal forms. "I can't believe this actually worked!" Will said with shock.

"Those humans aren't getting past us! Not ever!" Tolbin declared.

From that day forward, the last forest on earth had new defenders who would fight valiantly to defend their home. The Power Rangers Anthro!

I wasn't joking when I said I came up with a story based on Power Rangers. =P

This is a parody of Power Rangers I came up with after watching a few episodes of PRS. The writing isn't so good because I was mostly just focused on the plot itself and I wrote this rather fast.

The 4 main characters (Roxanne, Will, Tolbin, and Jeff) are based on characters from my Alien Hunters series. Rita and Ed are based on Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd from MMPR

Roxanne, Will, Tolbin, and Jeff are owned by me.

Everything Power Rangers related is owned by Saban Brands and SGC Power Rangers.

woooowww....that is so corny and stuff....i love it, it amuzes me and makes me laugh
however, if you think about it, which i do do too much thinking....one nuke and BOOM by by forest.....o.o unless there's a new ranger that is able to beat up a nuke...that'd be so awsome!!!
btw, wat are the Zords going to be? I think that's wat their called. the robot things...do b careful not to smash up the forest tho..lolz

Yeah but what you see is all that I'll ever do. I mostly wrote this as a joke, another reason why the writing is terrible.

Well, I thought it'll be a serious, but funny Rangers story, not a parody
