Death of the PoetDear poetry,
This is your challenge,
my eternal chore,
to restate the truth
like never before-
but I’m imperfect
at my very core
and hypocrisy
is what I abhor
so you may expect
my work to be poor
enough for me to
be crushed into gore
with failed attempts
to take wing and soar
when all I wanted
was something much more
than emptiness and
inherited war
and pointless details
of imagined lore
which most of us tend
to simply ignore
at the piercing sound
of a lion’s roar
or the convenience
of a nearby store…
what am I truly
writing these words for? 
Let’s merely pretend
that this isn’t me
but the voice of God
or L. Ron Hubbard
or whoever you
wish for it to be
since facts remain facts
no matter the source,
no matter the cause,
since the trustworthy
are also humans
prone to failure;
so prone to a fault
that we hold dearly-
the sum of our faith
measured in dollars-
rewarded by credit
and paper money…
for some odd reason
I find this funny!
So I conclude
False EternityDisillusioned youth was less common in those days, 
I assure you, the people even more set in their ways,
murderous and unforgiving, yet unaware of the lie they were living
convinced that faith is stone, they cut faces into gods, they thought
ignorant that being made rendered useless the very gods they wrought.
Shiny carvings into stone, faces, figures, blessed unknown,
Murders, slaughters, sacrifices of the weak, preaching sins and what they seek.
Forgiveness is not for all, all who do not have will now fall!
Greed consumes the mortal mind, rage is all that's left behind!
Amidst it all I rose and found the sun, disowned him for the moon
then sought the horizon, again and again warned my father that doom
would befall him if he didn't seek a better way to live and be 
I wasn't willing to follow the dark and deadly rules,
trying to bring some light into the lives of these fools.

I believe in starry nights writing timeless songs

False ProphetsPoems and love songs breed dead dreams,
strangled by weeds, face down in the ground
with no roses to mourn them.

Singers are poets that croon
(if you happen to lose your little heart to their tune)
and poets are false prophets -
true love will last forever
if they care to write it,
but not if you swallow the lines...

yet, they always do.

We all have a place
set for us in the shade

I found myself back in the city standing on the same roof I ended the previous night on, thankful that the day was finally over and I could be myself again. I knew that Malego wanted to see me, so I teleported straight to his office and appeared directly ontop of his desk.

At this point you’re probably wondering what’s going on. Well then, here’s the deal. My name is Roxanne, but most people call me Roxy. But when I’m doing fieldwork, they call me Foxy, my fieldname. I’m a 5’ 6” tall anthropomorphic red fox that is fifteen years old. If you don’t know what an anthro is, then just think of characters like Bugs Bunny. We’re like that.

Alien Hunters: PrologueI found myself in a parking lot, trapped against the cold building wall by six werewolves. They were half human, half wolf. Standing on two legs, with thick gray fur, bared fangs, and six-inch long claws that looked like they could easily rip me to shreds. The huge shadows cast by the streetlights looked even more menacing then the wolves did.

"I'm amazed," I said. "You guys actually have me on the defensive." There were only six of them. They should've posed no threat to me at all, but for some reason I just couldn't seem to beat these guys.

Destruction?

We were created long ago, the humans we protect
Our existence they do not know, they cannot hope to detect
Monstrous creatures and aliens too, not to mention all the strange goo
We stop them all that is our goal, keeping the humans in their bowl

In 2012 the humans they say, that a meteor will be on its way
Destroy the planet they say it will, but we won't let it we know the drill
As we watch the humans they are in need, for they all have an insatiable greed
They act against everything we believe, why do we give them a destruction reprieve

The day arrives the meteor falls from above, coming to destroy the planet we love
The humans watch as we take action, stopping it to their satisfaction
They are afraid but thankful as well, that we had saved them from planetary hell
Their greed continues what should we do, there seems to be no end to what they may do

We hold the meteor over their heads, and threaten them to make amends
Please don't harm us they cry and they plead, but their voices we do not heed
We all pray that they may listen, our hope in humanity does yet glisten
As the meteor sits in the sky, upon our whim the humans will die

This is my first time trying to write something like this so bear with me if its not good.

I got the idea for this about an hour and a half ago while I was walking to the library. The dark clouds in the sky and the lack of traffic reminded me of a show I watched where things looked just the same and a meteor was about to nail the planet.

I wrote this to show the Alien Hunters and their devotion to protecting humanity, even from themselves.

wow....that's actually rather good ^.^ :love:...and for some reason i knew that it was for Alien Hunters as soon as I read the line "Monstrous creatures and aliens too, not to mention all the strange goo"
